ZOMBODE 

Zombode Liquor and General Dealer Store is a family business which has been in business for more than 50 years. Business has been good even through the darkest of days. Zombode was founded by the great grandfather of the Zikalala family which moved from KZN Ladysmith to the city of Johannesburg.

Through hard work and dedication, the Zikalala brothers worked hand in hand growing the business together when their father's passed on one by one. This business employs both family and people who seek employment.

Zombode started off small with no liquor shop but with a fish & chips, butchery and fruit shop. Through the years, the Zikalala's saw a gap in the market that they needed to bridge and that was when they saw a huge amount of interest in the liquor business as well. Now, because Zombode has never closed down in the years of existence, it then made as much money to venture out in another location. The brothers worked together and opened their first baby 'Emakhuzeni', which is located in Zola and is run by extended family.

Zombode aims to give people what they want and cater for all their daily needs. Literally a mini supermarket in the location. Even though a lot of troublesome people have somewhat broken in, steal stock and just cause commotion at the store, it did not make the management give up on the family business.

Just like people are moving with technology and the trends, Zombode has strive to move with the time as well. Nothing you will find at a supermarket, you won't find at Zombode. We care for our customers and we always try to keep them as satisfied because at the end of the day "the customer is always right"
